About Me

I have taught history at Monmouth College since 1966, written twenty-odd books (including the Briarpatch College murder mysteries), lived in Germany, Italy, Yugoslavia and the Czech Republic, and write regularly for the Galesburg Register Mail and the Monmouth Review Atlas. My favorite activities, other than teaching and writing, are reading, sharing a glass of wine with friends on the patio by the koi pond, and working in my overly-large garden.
