My name is Jacob Marx and I am the political reporter for the Monmouth College Courier.  I am a senior at Monmouth majoring in political science with a double minor in journalism and media.  Along with my studies, I also run cross country for the college, hold leadership positions in a political organization at both the local and state level, am an RA, and am the Unit Leader of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary University Program Remote Collaborative Unit. And my name is Gareth Cordery. I grew up in Monmouth, where both of my parents taught history at Monmouth College. I will be starting my college career at Middlebury College in Vermont this fall, where I hope to major in political science and/or economics. I am also a professional classical musician. I held many leadership positions at Monmouth-Roseville High School where I was valedictorian. At the GOP convention in Cleveland I will be primarily following the Illinois Delegation and soliciting their opinions about the events taking place.
