<p>The final steel beam was lowered into place April 26.  The beam was available outside the construction sight for students, faculty and staff to sign.  The beam can be seen here inside the new building.</p>

<p>The gray &#8220;fuzzy stuff&#8221; on the beams is cementious non-asbestos fibrous fireproofing and the silver &#8220;icicles that are hanging down from the floors are metal hangers to support the mechanical air ductwork.</p>

<p>A fence has also been placed around the perimeter of where the new Center for Science and Business will sit. The admissions parking lot is now closed. Visitors should park in the lot on the west side of the building. Monmouth employees should continue parking on 6th street and Broadway.</p>
